You have beautiful vintage pieces, you take the time to shoot them... but they don't sell? Maybe your problem isn't the quality of the clothes, but the referencing.
On Vinted, as everywhere else, if no one finds you, no one buys from you. So today, we're giving you the ultimate checklist to get your items to the top of searches. And as always, if you want to stock your store with real vintage nuggets:

🎯 1. An ultra-clear and precise title
Your title should describe exactly what you're selling. Forget about "Gorgeous top too stylish", nobody's looking for that. What people are typing is:
-
"Vintage Levis 501 jeans size 40",
-
"Nike oversize beige sweatshirt",
-
"Retro brown leather jacket".
✅ Your checklist title :
-
Brand ✔
-
Type of garment ✔
-
Color ✔
-
Size ✔
-
Style (vintage, oversize, etc.) ✔

🔖 2. Well thought-out tags = more views
Tags are there to multiply the chances of your article appearing in searches. Use relevant and varied keywords, thinking about what the buyer might type in.
✅ Examples of good tags for a vintage sweater :vintage, sweater, oversize, 90s, grunge, second hand, unisex, Winter, laidback, retro look.
❌ Avoid tags that mean nothing or duplicates: "pull", "pulls", "puls", etc.

📂 3. The right category is essential
You sell a pair of shorts, but classify them under "Skirts"? Bad idea. Vinted will penalize you. Be as precise as possible in your choice of categories, as this will help the algo to better propose your item to buyers.
✅ Golden rule: even if your piece is unisex, choose a single category (e.g. Men > Sweatshirts), then specify in the description if it can go to both.
✍️ 4. Bonus: the description must not be empty
Even if it's not the most important thing for the algo, a good description reassures the buyer. Add:
-
condition details,
-
exact measurements,
-
look ideas ("perfect with high-waisted jeans"),
-
the words "unique vintage piece" if this is the case (it often is!).
📈 In short: the trifecta for selling on Vinted
🔹 A clear, keyword-packed title,
🔹 Clever tags that cover all the styles you're looking for,
🔹 The right category (neither too broad nor misleading).
