People often think you need a shop, a big budget, or tons of experience to make a living from vintage resale. Wrong.
My name is Camille, I’m 27, still living with my parents — and yet… I make a living reselling vintage clothes from my bedroom.
Here’s exactly how I do it — and how you can too, with less than €1000.
📦 Stock: the most strategic investment
It all starts with the right product. I started with a 10kg branded bundle from United Vintage for €170. Inside:
Nike and Champion sweatshirts, Adidas and Ralph Lauren hoodies, a Puma jacket, Nike, Levis and Fila t-shirts — and more.
⚠️ Every piece was resellable. I sorted them quickly, kept the best for Instagram, and listed the rest on Vinted.
📸 Selling from home: my setup
-
Shooting area in my room: white sheet, natural light, iPhone
-
Sorted items by brand to stay organized
-
Selling on Vinted + Instagram + a few direct sales to friends
Results:
✅ 23 items sold in 12 days
✅ Average price: €20
✅ Total revenue: €460
✅ Net profit (after stock cost): +€290
💼 Repeat = steady income
Since then, I’ve kept going. One bundle every 10 to 15 days, selling 25 to 40 pieces, and now I make between €2000 and €3000/month, without rent, bills, or a storefront.
What helped me:
-
Well-sorted bundles, ready to sell
-
High-demand pieces (Nike, Ralph, Adidas, Lacoste…)
-
Smart pricing: I double or triple the purchase price
🔁 Why United Vintage made my life easier
I used to dig through thrift stores, charity bins, flea markets… It was a huge time-waster.
Now:
➡️ I order, I receive, I sell.
➡️ Very few damaged or unsellable items.
➡️ Bundles are sorted by style, brand or season — perfect for targeting your audience.
🧠 Final takeaway: You don’t need a shop to succeed
✔️ 1 phone
✔️ 1 clean space
✔️ 1 good vintage supplier
✔️ A bit of motivation and consistency
You can start small, make profit quickly, and scale as you grow.
If you want to give it a shot, start with a branded bundle, post the best pieces on Insta, list the rest on Vinted… and watch the orders roll in.
