At United Vintage, we sometimes sell faster in packs than by the unit. Why do we do this? Because a well-thought-out pack is more than just a pile of clothes. It's a coherent mini dressing room, ready to wear and shoot. We'll explain how we create our packs, and how you too can take inspiration from them for Vinted (or even Insta).
🧠 1. Tip no. 1: a theme that speaks for itself
At United Vintage, we don't choose our pieces one by one: we open bales and sort. And that's where it all begins. When you spot 2-3 pieces that have a common vibewe know we can make a lot that sells.
Example of a bundle for sale:
-
Y2K Mood Y2K Mood: made up of leading brands of the 2000s (Evisu, True Religion, G-star, etc.)
-
Mix Summer: branded summer clothing (Lacoste, Nike, Adidas, Ralph Lauren, etc.).
-
Mix Spring: made up of hoodies/sweatshirts and other warmer clothing from major brands (Nike, Adidas, The North Face, etc.).
- ➡️ The customer sees the lot, visualizing an outfit or mood directly. They don't have to think. And that sells(click here to see all the bundles we offer).
🎨 2. Consistency = the sinews of war
Colors, materials, style... everything needs to match at least a little.
Avoid mixing things up too much. Destroyed jeans with a preppy polo shirt and kimono are a no-go. Unless it's an assertive and stylish style.
👉 What works well :
-
Colors that go together (e.g. beige + green + light denim)
-
Complementary materials (e.g. cotton + denim + light linen)
-
A consistent style (e.g. full street, full 90s, full chill)
And above all, we imagine how it will look in photos: will it make a visual impact or not?
🧩 3. Vary the parts, but not just any old way
A good lot is like a mini capsule dressing room.
✔️ We try to put :
-
A high
-
A stocking
-
A strong piece (jackets, light jackets...)
For example, you can do :
-
Festival Ready" pack: colorful shirt + jean shorts + T-shirt
-
Soft Girl" pack: pastel sweater + pleated skirt + jacket
-
Streetcore" pack: logo t-shirt + cargo + shirt
Avoid the same thing 3 times. Unless it's deliberate, like "Set of 3 90s sweaters" = OK, if all 3 are stylish AND different.
💰 4. The price has to be attractive
We often sell our lots a little cheaper than if the parts were separated.
Example:
-
Jeans: €25
-
Tee: €10
-
Jacket: 30€
➡️ Unit price: 65€
➡️ Lot price: 50€ → buyer sees a bargain.
💡 You can also do a "2 bought = 1 free" deal, or slip a surprise into the package (like a tote bag or a cool accessory).
📸 5. Always take care of the visual
Whether for our site, Insta or a resale platform, the visual sells the lot.
What we do:
-
Wearable photos: always more effective. If you're selling, wear the clothes or have them worn.
-
Flatlay: 3 pieces together, flat, on a clean background
-
Focus on details: logos, textures, labels
-
Clear description: sizes, brands, condition → no nasty surprises
And of course, everything is cleaned and ironed before the photo. Yes, even the jeans.
🧾 In summary, to create a lot that sells :
✅ Choose a strong theme
✅ Harmonize the styles
✅ Vary the pieces intelligently
✅ Offer a good deal
✅ Shoot clean and give envy
We regularly make themed packs at home. If you'd like some inspiration or to shop for ready-made stylish packs, drop by our boutique or check out our Insta. And if you want to create your own, go rummage through your closet and put together your 1st pack: you'll see, it changes everything.
