How to Create Bundles That (Really) Sell—and How You Can Do the Same

At United Vintage, items sometimes sell faster as bundles than individually. Why? Because a well-curated bundle is more than just a pile of clothes. It’s a cohesive mini-wardrobe, ready to wear and ready to photograph. We’ll explain how we create our bundles—and how you, too, can use them as inspiration for Vinted (or even Instagram).

🧠 1. Tip #1: A theme that resonates

At United Vintage, we don't select our items one by one: We open the bales and sort them. And that’s exactly where it all starts. When you spot 2 or 3 items that have a shared vibe, we know we can put together a lot that will sell.

Example of a bundle we sell:

  • Y2K Mood : featuring iconic brands from the 2000s (Evisu, True Religion, G-Star, etc.)

  • Summer Mix: featuringdesigner summer clothing (Lacoste, Nike, Adidas, Ralph Lauren, etc.)

  • Spring Collection: featuring hoodies, sweatshirts, and other warm clothing from major brands (Nike, Adidas, The North Face, etc.)

  • ➡️ When customers see the bundle, they immediately picturean outfit or a look. They don't have to think about it anymore. And that's what sells. (Click here to see all the bundles we offer)

🎨 2. Consistency = the key to success

Colors, fabrics, style… everything has to go together at least a little.
Avoid combinations that look too “messy.” Distressed jeans with a preppy polo shirt and a kimono? No way. Unless it’s a deliberate, stylized look.

👉 What works well:

  • Colors that go well together (e.g., beige + green + light denim)

  • Complementary fabrics (e.g., cotton + denim + lightweight linen)

  • A consistent style (e.g., all street, all '90s, all chill)

And most importantly, we imagine how it will look in a photo: will it be visually striking or not?

🧩 3. Vary the pieces, but not just any old way

A good outfit is like a mini capsule wardrobe.
✔️ We try to include:

  • A top

  • A sock

  • A standout piece (jackets, light jackets, etc.)

For example, you can do the following:

  • "Festival Ready" Pack: colorful shirt + denim shorts + T-shirt

  • "Soft Girl" Set: pastel sweater + pleated skirt + jacket

  • "Streetcore" Pack: Logo T-shirt + Cargo Pants + Shirt

Avoid listing the same item three times. Unless it's intentional—like "Set of 3 '90s sweatshirts" = OK, as long as all three are stylish AND different.

💰 4. The price has to be appealing

We often sell our sets for a little less than if the items were sold separately.
Example:

  • Jeans: 25€

  • T-shirt: 10€

  • Jacket: €30
    ➡️ Price per item: €65
➡️ Bundle price: €50 → The buyer sees a good deal.

💡 You could also do a “buy 2, get 1 free” promotion, or slip a little surprise into the package (like a tote bag or a cool accessory).

📸 5. We always pay attention to the visuals

Whether it's for our website, Instagram, or a resale platform, the visuals are what sell the product.

What we do:

  • Product photos with models: always more effective. If you're the one selling, wear the clothes yourself or have someone else model them.

  • Flatlay: all three pieces together, laid flat on a clean background

  • A Closer Look at the Details: Logos, Textures, Labels

  • Clear description: sizes, brands, condition → no unpleasant surprises

And of course, we wash and iron everything before the photo shoot. Yes, even jeans.

🧾 In summary, to create a bundle that sells:

✅ Choose a strong theme
✅ Coordinate styles
✅ Mix and match pieces thoughtfully
✅ Offer a great deal
✅ Take clean photos that make people want to buy

We regularly put together themed outfits here. If you’re looking for inspiration or want to shop for stylish, ready-made outfits, stop by the store or check out our Instagram.
